Property owners in Harris County paid 1% of the value of their homes in property taxes in the first quarter of 2024, which is less than 0.9 times the national average, according to the real estate analysis posted by SE Houston News.
Of the 4,697,957 citizens living in Harris County in 2021, 73.3% were old enough to vote, equating to 3,443,076 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.
