The Texas Southern Tigers, featuring former Dickinson High School standout Jace Maynard, were defeated 10-4 by the UTRGV Vaqueros in an NCAA Division I baseball matchup held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 4.
UTRGV Baseball Stadium was the site of the contest. This marked the teams’ second meeting of the season; the Tigers dropped the previous matchup 5-3 on Tuesday, March 3.
Maynard pitched two innings and allowed two earned runs.
The Tigers are set to play again on Tuesday, March 10, at 6 p.m. at Chapman Field, facing Texas A&M Corpus Christi Islanders.
