75.7% of Galveston County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 347,084 citizens living in Galveston County in 2021, 75.7% were old enough to vote, equating to 262,686 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 128,304 were male, constituting 48.8%, and 134,382 were female, making up 51.2%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Galveston County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 74.2%.
