Census Bureau: 73.6% of people in Brazoria County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 368,575 citizens living in Brazoria County in 2021, 73.6% were old enough to vote, equating to 271,384 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 137,141 were male, constituting 50.5%, and 134,243 were female, making up 49.5%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Brazoria County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 74.2%.
