Texas Southern University issued the following announcement.
The TSU Career and Professional Development Center will present a Virtual Tiger Career Fair from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. CDT on September 25, 2020. With over 70 registered companies interested in hiring, this experience will allow TSU students to meet with employers and interact with recruiters via video, audio, or chat.
“One of the major benefits of a virtual fair is networking opportunities with potential employers and not having the hassle of parking, walking to the fair, and printing multiple resumes for each employer,” said Andreaus Boise, director of the Career and Professional Development Center.
Students attending the Virtual Tiger Career Fair will be able to discover new career opportunities and get personalized recommendations based on their Handshake profile, “Each room houses a different employer participating in the fair. Students will interview and meet employers without having to leave the comfort of their respective homes or dorms and never wait in line,” said Boise.
After registering for the Career Fair through the Handshake App, students can sign up for employer sessions in advance. They are also able to pre-schedule one-on-one or group sessions with employers or on the day of the event. Registration for employer sessions will close when a session begins or reaches capacity.
There is still time for students to register for the event. Visit the Handshake app or create a Handshake account with your TSU student email address at at tsu.joinhandshake.com.
