Galveston County Judge Mark Henry has created a COVID-19 Business Taskforce to help during the coronavirus crisis.

The Texas City-La Marque Chamber of Commerce reported on July 6 that the task force was created to help lend resources and assistance with increased coronavirus cases in the county. It’s also slated to help give employers and businesses tips on how to respond and move forward if a staff member or customer/client contracts the virus.

Henry has tapped League City Councilman Hank Dugie to lead the task force.

“I cannot think of any better person to help lead this effort with our local chambers than Councilman Hank Dugie,” Henry said. “His leadership during this pandemic has helped the business community in the City of League City to safely reopen and we want him to create a similar concept county-wide.”
