Houston Fire Department issued the following announcement.
WHAT: House Fire
WHEN: January 20, 2020 at 12:35 p.m.
WHERE: 1400 block of Bringhurst St, 77020
INJURIES: No reported injuries
PROPERTY SAVED: $54 thousand in estimated property saved
DAMAGE: $11 thousand in estimated damage
CAUSE: Unintentional
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the eaves of a house and began an offensive attack. A fire was found on the stove with fire extension into the wall and attic. The crews ventilated the home and extinguished the fire. A primary and secondary search were completed and the American Red Cross was notified to assist the occupants. Firefighters from Stations 8, 19, 9, 27 and 17 responded to this incident.
