Mayes Middleton, a Republican elected to the Texas State Senate in 2023 representing the state’s 11th Senate district, recently posted several messages on social media covering both personal and political topics.

On May 10, Middleton shared a Mother’s Day message stating, “Happy Mother’s Day Texas! God has blessed our family with Macy, the most incredible mother to our 4 children. Today we celebrate moms and all they do to care for and raise the sons and daughters of our great state.”

The following day, May 11, he continued his recognition of mothers in Texas with another post: “I hope all the moms of our great state have had a very happy mothers’ day. It’s the most important job in the world.”

Shifting to national politics on May 12, Middleton commented on figures within the Republican party: “Liz Cheney the founder of Trump derangement syndrome loves Chip Roy.”

Middleton succeeded Larry Taylor as state senator for Texas’s 11th district after being elected in 2023.
