Mayes Middleton, Texas State Senator representing the 11th district, has recently shared a series of endorsements and expressions of support for his campaign to become the next Texas Attorney General.

On March 23, 2026, Middleton posted on his X account: “Thank you Sheriff Rutledge for your service, and thank you for your endorsement. You can count on me to always have the back of law enforcement.

“I would like to offer my endorsement for Mayes Middleton as the next Texas Attorney General.  Senator Middleton’s strong stance on https://t.co/HU3k9Ln5ir“.

The following day, March 24, he acknowledged another endorsement from Sheriff Hill with a post stating: “Thank you Sheriff Hill for your support. I will always stand 100% with law enforcement.

“Mayes Middleton has a solid voting record in support of border security and law enforcement.  As Brown County Sheriff, I trust his ability to protect the citizens of our great state and https://t.co/iWl5BLdzFA“.

Middleton also expressed gratitude towards an advocacy group on March 24: “Thank you @TXRightToLife for all you do to protect life. https://t.co/H98mXR28kF”.

Middleton was elected as a Republican to the Texas State Senate in 2023, succeeding Larry Taylor as representative of the state’s 11th Senate district.
