Mayes Middleton, a Republican and Texas State Senator representing the 11th Senate district since 2023, recently shared several updates on his social media account, highlighting endorsements and expressing support for individuals in his community.
On March 16, 2026, Middleton posted a message thanking Sheriff Garrett for his endorsement in the race for Texas Attorney General. He wrote: “Thank you Sheriff Garrett! I will always have law enforcement’s back 100%. Grateful to have earned your endorsement!

Middleton succeeded Larry Taylor as state senator after being elected in 2023. As a member of the Republican Party, he represents Texas’s 11th Senate district.
