Mayes Middleton, a Republican and Texas State Senator representing the 11th Senate district since 2023, has made several statements on social media regarding recent legislative actions and personal initiatives.
On September 26, 2025, Middleton stated his opposition to lab-grown meat in Texas. He wrote: “Never in Texas! All Texans are now safe from Bill Gates’s disgusting lab meat. I fought for the law that bans this vile product, as Attorney General I’ll fight to aggressively enforce the ban on lab meat. MAHA”.
Later that day, Middleton posted about hunting alligators and compared it to his ongoing efforts against political lobbyists. On September 26, 2025, he said: “It’s gator season Texas. Join my fight to drain the swamp! This one I caught was 13ft, 614lb, and nothing compared to the taxpayer funded lobbyist swamp creatures I’ve been fighting for years.”
In another post on September 26, 2025, Middleton referenced legislation he authored related to women’s privacy. He wrote: “This is why I authored and passed the strongest women’s privacy act in America— to stop perverts like this and keep women and children safe.”
Middleton succeeded Larry Taylor in representing Texas’s 11th Senate district after being elected in 2023.
