Mayes Middleton, a Republican and Texas State Senator representing the 11th district since 2023, announced on social media that he has received several endorsements in his campaign for Attorney General. Middleton shared support from elected officials and law enforcement organizations across Texas in posts dated March 11 and March 12, 2026.

On March 11, Middleton acknowledged an endorsement from Senator Perry. He wrote: “Thank you Senator Perry! Such an honor to earn your endorsement. You are a top fighter for conservatives and rural Texans. The Senate and state are better off with your leadership.

“I’m proud to endorse Mayes Middleton for Attorney General. We must have Christian servants in https://t.co/lCNX3xr5wx“.

Later that day, Middleton posted about receiving support from Sheriff Sappington: “Sheriff Sappington, enjoyed our conversation and honored to earn your support!

“Based on his record and my conversation with him, I know that Mayes Middleton will be very supportive of law enforcement and enforcing the rule of law.  I am pleased to support him for Attorney https://t.co/x90gWuvUiU“.

On March 12, Middleton announced backing from multiple law enforcement groups: “I’m deeply honored to have the backing of The Texas Municipal Police Association, Houston Police Officers’ Union, Dallas Police Association, and the Harris County Deputies’ Organization.

Middleton was elected to the Texas State Senate in 2023 after succeeding Larry Taylor as senator for District 11.
