On March 11, Middleton acknowledged an endorsement from Senator Perry. He wrote: “Thank you Senator Perry! Such an honor to earn your endorsement. You are a top fighter for conservatives and rural Texans. The Senate and state are better off with your leadership.

Later that day, Middleton posted about receiving support from Sheriff Sappington: “Sheriff Sappington, enjoyed our conversation and honored to earn your support!

On March 12, Middleton announced backing from multiple law enforcement groups: “I’m deeply honored to have the backing of The Texas Municipal Police Association, Houston Police Officers’ Union, Dallas Police Association, and the Harris County Deputies’ Organization.
