Mayes Middleton, a Republican and Texas State Senator representing the 11th district since 2023, has recently highlighted support from key conservative figures and organizations in a series of social media posts.
On September 29, 2025, Middleton acknowledged Rick Barnes’ longstanding role in Tarrant County politics. He wrote, “Rick Barnes has been a steadfast conservative leader in Tarrant County for many years, including serving as Tarrant County GOP Chairman, and I’m truly grateful for his support.”
Later that day, Middleton expressed gratitude toward local groups following public appearances. In his post dated September 29, he stated, “Thank you, Bay Area Republican Women, for inviting me to give a brief update on November constitutional amendments, including the one I sponsored to help advance border wall construction. Also, thank you to the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce for having me on a legislative panel”.
On September 30, Middleton announced growing momentum behind his campaign. He shared, “Our campaign is surging with momentum — now backed by 150+ conservative leaders and organizations across Texas! From grassroots champions to statewide groups, these are the leaders who’ve helped elect President Trump, Governor Abbott, Lt. Governor Patrick, and Senator Cruz.”
Middleton was elected to the Texas State Senate in 2023 after succeeding Larry Taylor. Since then, he has engaged actively with both local organizations and statewide political figures while promoting legislative initiatives such as amendments related to border wall construction.
