Mayes Middleton, a Republican who was elected to the Texas State Senate in 2023 to represent the state’s 11th Senate district, has made several public statements on social media regarding his campaign for Attorney General and ongoing political efforts.
On August 1, 2025, Middleton highlighted support from various organizations, stating: “Grassroots conservative organizations across Texas are rallying around our campaign for Attorney General! We’re proud to be endorsed by: Texas Eagle Forum Texas Home School Coalition Texas Values Action Texas Family Project Moms for America Action Bastrop”.
Later that day, he addressed his priorities if elected as Attorney General. On August 1, 2025, Middleton wrote: “I’m in the arena now fighting to get real results — including restoring the Attorney General’s power to prosecute voter fraud. If you break our election laws when I’m Attorney General, you WILL be held accountable. No more excuses. No more loopholes.”
The following day, on August 2, 2025, Middleton commented on recent political developments and his role in them: “Let’s get this done! Texas is leading to ensure Trump maintains a GOP majority in Congress. Galveston County was critical in ensuring this victory and I’m proud to have helped win these battles.”
Middleton succeeded Larry Taylor as state senator after winning election in 2023.
