Mayes Middleton, a Republican who was elected to the Texas State Senate in 2023 representing the 11th Senate district, has posted a series of statements on his social media accounts expressing his campaign positions and thanking supporters as the May 26th runoff approaches.
On May 8, Middleton addressed Wise County Sheriff and supporters by stating, “Sheriff, you are absolutely correct, I actually have a record of fighting the threat from Sharia Law and Islamification and will aggressively continue that fight as AG. Great to meet you in Wise County and very honored to have your support. ‘With the May 26th runoff upon us, I’”.
The following day, on May 9, Middleton thanked local political groups for their support: “Thank you Wise County Conservatives for hosting me last night, these patriots never relent in the fight to elect conservatives and defend our God granted freedoms. Grateful for @WCC_Texas recommendation for AG and @AndyHopperTX’s endorsement! Vote MAGA Mayes @SamHopperTX”.
Later that same day, he reiterated his campaign themes with another post: “Winning in the fight to defeat the atheists and put the 10 Commandments and prayer back in schools. As AG I’ll never relent in the fight against the woke left, the Islamists, the Communists and all those trying to destroy the Christian values our state and nation were founded”.
Middleton’s recent posts come as he seeks further support ahead of a key runoff election scheduled for May 26. He previously succeeded Larry Taylor as state senator after being elected in 2023.
