Mayes Middleton, a Republican elected to the Texas State Senate in 2023 to represent the state’s 11th Senate district, has used his social media platform to share updates on his campaign for Attorney General and recent political activities.

On October 14, 2025, Middleton announced the endorsement of Latinos United for Conservative Action (LUCA), stating, “LUCA (Latinos United for Conservative Action) is a faith-based movement that champions life, faith, and family by supporting pro-life values and constitutional freedoms. I’m honored to have their endorsement as I run for Attorney General to defend the God-given rights of Texans.”

Later the same day, Middleton highlighted his legislative record on COVID-19 vaccine mandates. He wrote, “I fought the COVID vaccine industry and won. I authored and passed the strongest ban on COVID vaccine mandates in America. No Texan will ever be forced or harassed into taking the COVID shot, and I will always fight for medical freedom!” The post referenced Middleton’s efforts to pass legislation in Texas restricting vaccine mandates.

On October 15, 2025, Middleton expressed gratitude to local party leaders for their support in South Texas. He stated, “Thank you Bee County GOP and incredible party chair Patty Johnson for inviting me to keynote the 16th annual Republican Roundup.   South Texas has flipped Republican thanks to the hard work of so many patriots in Bee County and surrounding counties.  This race is about proven”

Middleton succeeded Larry Taylor in the Texas State Senate and has been active in conservative causes since taking office. His campaign for Attorney General has focused on issues such as religious liberty, medical freedom, and support from grassroots organizations.
