Mayes Middleton, a Texas State Senator, has recently posted a series of tweets highlighting his political positions and campaign activities.

On July 19, 2025, Middleton questioned another politician’s stance on several social issues, asking “Is Talarico auditioning for a job with American Atheists or Gavin Newsom? He thinks Texas should let men compete in women’s sports, allow obscene, pornographic materials in our school libraries, and endorse insane arguments that abortion is Biblical… BUT that voluntary school”.

Two days later, on July 21, 2025, Middleton expressed appreciation for the support of a fellow conservative figure: “Grateful to have Dr. Robin Armstrong’s endorsement! He’s a bold conservative who has been working in the trenches for decades. Our momentum is growing stronger every day. Conservatives are rallying around our campaign because they know I’m the proven conservative with a record”.

Later that same day, he announced legislative action regarding government lobbying practices: “I just filed SB 12 the Ban on taxpayer funded lobbying, let’s drain the swamp, defund the the deep state and get SB 12 passed! Thank you @GregAbbott_TX for putting the ban on taxpayer funded lobbying on the agenda and @DanPatrick for making this bill a priority of the Senate!”.

Middleton has served as a Republican member of the Texas State Senate since January 2023. He has previously focused on issues related to government spending and education policy.
