Mayes Middleton, a Republican elected to the Texas State Senate in 2023 representing the state’s 11th Senate district, posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing local political developments and law enforcement issues.

On March 17, 2026, Middleton congratulated Kyle on his election as the new Republican Chairman in Gillespie County. He shared a message from Kyle: “I served with Mayes Middleton in the Texas House from 2019 to 2023. Over my time getting to know him, I learned that he is not only a conservative champion to his core,”.

Later that day, Middleton thanked Commissioner Ramsey for his role on the commissioners court. He wrote: “Thank you Commissioner Ramsey! Thank you for being the lone stalwart Republican voice on the commissioners court. Please keep up the good work.

‘MAGA Mayes Middleton is the conservative, tough on crime, law and order, future AG we need to make sure Harris County follows the’”.

On March 18, 2026, Middleton criticized Garza’s record as a prosecutor in another post: “Garza indicted cops for doing their jobs, refused to prosecute rioters that injured state troopers at the capitol and his anti-law enforcement actions collapsed cadet classes. He is a menace to public safety, protecting criminals and attacking law enforcement. He must be removed.”

Middleton succeeded Larry Taylor as state senator for Texas’s 11th district after being elected in 2023.
