Mayes Middleton, a Republican elected to the Texas State Senate in 2023 representing the 11th Senate district, announced on social media recent legislative and political developments, including new laws and endorsements.
On December 4, 2025, Middleton declared the implementation of a new law regarding women’s privacy. He wrote, “Victory! I passed the strongest women’s privacy law in America, kicking perverted men out of women’s locker rooms and restrooms. Today it went into effect, and as AG I will fight to enforce it. Texas will not bend to the delusions of the woke left’s gender ideology.”
Later that same day, Middleton commented on recent changes to congressional districting in Texas. In his post, he stated, “The Big Beautiful Map stands! I was proud to fight for and cast my vote for this map because it secures 5 more Republican seats in Congress. Now let’s go win those seats!” The reference is to a redistricting effort designed to increase Republican representation in Congress.
On December 5, 2025, Middleton acknowledged receiving an endorsement from Susan Fletcher. He posted: “Honored to have @Susan_Fletcher’s endorsement. She has been a stalwart conservative servant-leader in Collin County, and a champion for Christian values.
‘Mayes Middleton has a history of dogged determination to stand for Texas values. He’s provided consistent, principled”
Middleton assumed office after replacing Larry Taylor as state senator for Texas’s 11th district following his election in 2023.
