Mayes Middleton, a Republican and Texas State Senator representing the 11th Senate district since 2023, has recently made a series of public statements on social media addressing issues ranging from transgender participation in sports to national security concerns related to Sharia law.
On October 15, 2025, Middleton posted: “Gina – when I was fighting to ban men in girls’ sports and to stop perverted men from invading girls bathrooms and locker rooms, you voted against common sense and safety for girls. I’m proud to endorse Governor @GregAbbott_TX for reelection.”
The following day, on October 16, 2025, he wrote: “What is happening across Europe, and even here at home in places like Dearborn, MI (Dearbornistan?) should be a wakeup call. Sharia law is not just incompatible with our Republic, not just illegal, it’s a national security threat. As Attorney General, I will create a division”
On October 17, 2025, Middleton expressed gratitude toward local conservative groups: “Thank you Cypress Tea Party for having me speak to so many bold conservatives, unafraid to fight for Biblical values in government! I’m grateful for all Cypress Tea Party does to elect true conservatives to Cy Fair ISD! Also, thank you @TomOliverson for your strong endorsement”
Middleton has been active in Texas politics since his election in 2023 as state senator for the state’s 11th district. He succeeded Larry Taylor in this role.
