Mayes Middleton, a Republican elected to the Texas State Senate in 2023 representing the state’s 11th Senate district, has recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing national security, local politics, and legislative priorities.
On December 15, 2025, Middleton expressed concerns about foreign influence and birthright citizenship. He stated, “Communist Chinese officials are paying surrogates in the US to obtain US citizenship for their babies. This is a national security risk. I stand with President Trump to end birthright citizenship so we can end abuses like this.”
The following day, December 16, 2025, Middleton voiced support for political efforts in Harris County alongside Texas Governor Greg Abbott. He wrote, “Let’s go! I’m excited to continue fighting alongside @GregAbbott_TX to turn Harris County Red.”
On December 18, 2025, Middleton highlighted his stance on transgender issues and recent legislative achievements. He posted, “I’ve been fighting the radical transgender agenda and winning. A total ban on child gender mutilation was a freedom caucus priority that I fought to make law in Texas last session. I will never cave to the radical left because they protest and threaten me, or because the excuse”
Middleton succeeded Larry Taylor as state senator for Texas’s 11th district after being elected in 2023.
