Mayes Middleton, a Republican member of the Texas State Senate representing the 11th district since 2023, has recently shared a series of posts on his social media platform discussing political developments in Texas.
On September 8, 2025, Middleton highlighted economic and political progress in Nueces County. He wrote, “Nueces County is not just leading in the state’s economic prosperity, they are also on the frontlines taking ground back from Democrats. I met with the Port, their excellent County Judge Connie Scott, Nueces Co. GOP Precinct Chairs and was very grateful to be hosted by Dr. Reddy”.
The following day, September 9, Middleton addressed legislative efforts concerning privacy laws for women in Texas. In his post he stated, “Thank you @GregAbbott_TX . The strongest women’s privacy act in America is about to be law. This is for all the daughters of Texas, I will not give an inch to the radical left’s gender ideology trying to compromise our families safety and privacy.”
Later that same day, Middleton commented on law enforcement and legal standards regarding religious law. He posted: “District Attorneys that refuse to prosecute the prohibition on Sharia Law must be removed from office. When we have a border that was completely overrun for 4 years and now the values of our Constitutional Republic under threat by Islamification, there is zero tolerance for”.
Middleton began serving as a state senator after being elected in 2023 to represent Texas’ 11th Senate district; he succeeded Larry Taylor in this role.
