Mayes Middleton, a Republican Texas State Senator representing the 11th district since 2023, has posted several statements on social media addressing legislative actions, endorsements, and community tragedies.
On December 18, 2025, Middleton criticized efforts by certain politicians and lobbyists regarding legislation. He stated: “Trans lobbyists and DC politicians like Chip Roy tried to water it down, but Christian values prevailed. Thank you to the grassroots who fought back.”
Later that same day, he referenced an endorsement for his campaign for Texas Attorney General and reflected on previous legislative work. According to Middleton’s post from December 18: “‘Join me in supporting staunch conservative Mayes Middleton for Texas Attorney General.’ Dr. Hotze was on the front lines exposing perverted men who were entering women’s locker rooms and restrooms. He never gave up the fight and I was proud to pass the Women’s Privacy Act into”
On December 19, Middleton addressed a local tragedy involving a student death in Goose Creek. In his message of condolence and call for justice, he wrote: “Macy and I are praying for the Meismer family in this awful loss of their son Andrew. A young student is dead and his killer must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Safety from threats and violence are something every student and parent deserves. Goose Creek must”
Middleton succeeded Larry Taylor as state senator after winning election in 2023.
