Mayes Middleton, a Republican and Texas State Senator representing the 11th Senate district since 2023, has recently made several statements on his social media account regarding immigration policy and endorsements in Texas.
On April 9, 2026, Middleton criticized a recent decision by Houston officials, stating: “The City of Houston voted to help illegal immigrants avoid deportation. This puts our families and officers lives at risk. This is a violation of the ban on sanctuary cities and the solution is simple, follow the law, backup President Trump in his border security agenda or be”.
Later that day, Middleton expressed gratitude for support from local law enforcement. He posted: “Thank you Sheriff Havard for your support and endorsement. Appreciate the important work you do to keep Texas safe. ‘Mayes Middleton is a native Texan and a solid conservative with deep family roots in southeast Texas. He’s done a great job in the Texas Senate and I know he” (April 9, 2026).
On April 10, 2026, Middleton acknowledged another endorsement from Judge New. He wrote: “Thank you Judge New for your strong endorsement. Texas’ conservative values are worth fighting for, and I will provide strong conservative leadership as Attorney General. ‘Mayes Middleton is leading the fight to keep men out of women’s locker rooms, bringing the 10”.
Middleton succeeded Larry Taylor in the Texas State Senate after being elected in 2023 to represent District 11.
