Mayes Middleton, a Republican elected to the Texas State Senate in 2023 representing the 11th district, has recently used his social media platform to discuss local advocacy groups, national politics, and state education policy.

On October 8, 2025, Middleton posted about his participation in a regional event: “East Texans for Liberty has led the charge for years to advance conservative values and mobilize faith, family and freedom voters across East Texas. The following day, October 9, Middleton commented on international affairs with a statement regarding former President Donald Trump: “The world should be thankful for President Trump as he creates peace through strength.”

Middleton succeeded Larry Taylor as senator of Texas’s 11th district after being elected in 2023. As a member of the Republican party, he has consistently voiced support for conservative causes and policies throughout his tenure.
