Mayes Middleton, a Republican elected to the Texas State Senate in 2023 representing the 11th Senate district, addressed several issues on his social media account on October 7, 2025. His posts covered topics ranging from local conservative advocacy to national political disputes and international solidarity.

In a post on October 7, 2025, Middleton described his engagement with local party members: “I spoke about the fight for conservative values in Austin to the Washington County Republican Women today. It’s a great group conservatives working tirelessly for Texas values, right near the heart of where the Texas Republic was born at Washington on the Brazos!”

Later that day, Middleton criticized Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker and Texas Democratic lawmakers who left the state during legislative sessions. He wrote on October 7, 2025: “Pathetic Governor Pritzker: Texas Democrat lawmakers are heros by quitting on their jobs and fleeing to Illinois to whine. Also Pritzker, Texas national guard are villains committing insurrection by coming to Illinois to stop murders and crime.”

On the morning of October 7, 2025, Middleton marked the second anniversary of the Hamas attack in Israel. He stated: “Never forget October 7, 2023. Texas stands with Israel today and always. Nearly 1,200 innocent lives were brutally taken by Hamas’s terrorist attack that day. Hundreds of men, women, and children were kidnapped and held hostage, families were shattered, homes burned down, and”

Middleton succeeded Larry Taylor as state senator after being elected in 2023. He has been an active voice for conservative causes in Texas politics.
