Mayes Middleton, a Republican and Texas State Senator representing the 11th district since 2023, has recently shared a series of posts on social media discussing his advocacy on campus safety, campaign activities, and education policy.
On February 2, 2026, Middleton addressed concerns about antisemitism on educational campuses. He stated, “This is why Jewish students don’t feel safe on campus, and why I fought to change the law to help end antisemitism on ISD and college campuses. Zero tolerance for this evil. I will continue to aggressively combat antisemitism and enforce the law as AG.”
The following day, February 3, he highlighted his engagement with local political groups while campaigning for Attorney General. In his post he wrote: “Great speaking to the Golden Triangle Republican Women, these hardworking patriots flipped Jefferson County Red. I’m traveling our great state building momentum every day to be your next AG. Message us for a MAGA Mayes hat, we run out quickly wherever we go on the trail!”
On February 4, Middleton commented on education reform efforts in Texas. He acknowledged several state leaders for their roles in passing school choice legislation and noted an upcoming policy launch: “Today, history will be made in Texas! Thank you @GregAbbott_TX @DanPatrick @Burrows4TX @CreightonForTX @BradBuckleyDVM for your leadership while passing school choice. Texas Education Freedom Accounts officially launch at 9 am.”
Middleton was elected to the Texas State Senate in 2023 after replacing Larry Taylor as representative of District 11.
