On May 21, 2026, Paul posted his support for Cindy Siegel in the upcoming Harris County Republican Party Chair election. He wrote, “I’m proud to endorse Cindy Siegel for Harris County Republican Party Chair and I need your help getting her across the finish line! Early voting is open now through Friday, May 22. Election Day is Tuesday, May 26 (polls open 7am–7pm). Get out and vote for Cindy! “

Later that day, Paul shared details of a policy discussion at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy. In his post dated May 21, he stated, “I had a great discussion today at the Baker Institute for Public Policy on the importance of regional flood mitigation and long term infrastructure planning for the Gulf Coast. In another message posted on May 21, Paul expressed his endorsement of Mayes Middleton for Texas Attorney General: “I am proud to support Mayes Middleton for Texas Attorney General! Mayes will make”

Paul succeeded John E. Davis in representing District 129 after being elected in 2015.
