On May 21, 2026, Paul posted his support for Cindy Siegel in the upcoming Harris County Republican Party Chair election. He wrote, “I’m proud to endorse Cindy Siegel for Harris County Republican Party Chair and I need your help getting her across the finish line! Early voting is open now through Friday, May 22. Later that day, Paul shared details of a policy discussion at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy. In his post dated May 21, he stated, “I had a great discussion today at the Baker Institute for Public Policy on the importance of regional flood mitigation and long term infrastructure planning for the Gulf Coast. Paul succeeded John E. Davis in representing District 129 after being elected in 2015.
